


Kirk Gilles
Kirk began his Patriotic career by enlisting in the United States Army in 1985, as a Reconnaissance Calvary Scout. He cross trained in all U.S. Small Arm Weapons, Crew Served Weapons and light ordinance. Kirk is still an active member of the military, working as a Small Arms Instructor in the California State Military Reserve. Kirk is also tasked with helping to prepare California National Guard and Air Guard troops with weapons
training, for deployments to other countries and their annual training.
Kirk began his Law Enforcement career in 1990 in El Dorado County before joining the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department in 1991. He served as a Jail Trainer and Field Trainer. He is also a Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Instructor for recruits and staff. Kirk is still an active Peace Officer for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to providing technical assistance, classroom, and range instruction for Triple Threat Solutions, Kirk specializes in areas of a Crime Prevention and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
CPTED is preventing crime by designing a physical environment that positively influences human behavior. The theory is based on four principles: natural access control, natural surveillance, territoriality, and maintenance.
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is based on the principle that proper design and effective use of buildings and public spaces in neighborhoods can lead to a reduction in the fear and incidence of crime, and an improvement in the quality of life for citizens.
Kirk Graduated from CSU Sacramento earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Bryan Kunzmann
Bryan is a more than capable instructor and coach, who’s had a firearm in his capable hands since as he would say, “Since I was a youngin.” Bryan is a military veteran. He served for four years in the United States Marine Corps. During his tenure in the Marines, Bryan attained an Expert rifle shooter rating on the M16A2 rifle. Bryan was also a Range Safety Officer (RSO) responsible for ensuring that all aspects of a firearms range
operated safely and efficiently.
Bryan believes in remaining proficient, with and without a firearm. Bryan has attended numerous training classes, such as Basic handgun, Handgun tactics, Advanced handgun techniques, Concealed carry techniques, Handgun retention, Basic rifle (bolt action, semi-auto, and lever action), Tactical rifle (AR-15/M-4) and Weaponless defense.
Bryan also holds Concealed Carry Weapon’s (CCW) permits in CA and AZ.
